Medicare rebated mental health therapy with a focus on trauma, attachment and complex relational or emotional difficulties for adults, adolescents and families.
Jade Phillips Counselling and Psychotherapy provides Medicare-rebated psychological therapy delivered by an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW).
I work with women, adolescents, and families experiencing complex mental health presentations, including anxiety, depressive symptoms, emotional regulation difficulties, eating disorders and disordered eating, and relational distress.
My clinical approach is trauma-informed and attachment-based, with attention to developmental history, family dynamics, and relational patterns that contribute to ongoing psychological and behavioural difficulties.
I commonly support clients presenting with:
- Anxiety and depressive disorders
- Eating disorders and disordered eating
- Emotion regulation difficulties
- Complex and developmental trauma
- Attachment-related difficulties
- Interpersonal and relationship difficulties
- Adolescent mental health concerns
- Parenting and difficulties in child-parent relationships
- Family and relational stress impacting mental health
I provide mental health therapy for:
- Women, including those experiencing eating and body image concerns
- Adolescents (12–18) with moderate to complex mental health presentations
- Parents and families, particularly where attachment, trauma, or eating-related difficulties are present
Therapeutic Approach
My work is grounded in trauma-informed, attachment-based psychotherapy, informed by systemic and relational frameworks. Treatment focuses on improving emotional regulation, addressing maladaptive coping patterns (including eating-related behaviours), and strengthening psychological and relational functioning. Where appropriate, I work collaboratively with families and other health professionals.
Medicare Rebates
Medicare rebates are available for eligible clients with a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan. As an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, I provide focused psychological strategies under Medicare for the treatment of common and complex mental health conditions, including eating disorders.
Individual Therapy
$200 / 50 minute session
If you obtain a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) from your regular treating GP under the Better Access initiative, you may be eligible for a rebate of $87.25 for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.
Couples and Family Sessions
$250 / 50 minute session

$180 (plus GST)
